A Lunch Hour Accident You Can Be Proud Of
January 2, 2013 | in The Speeder In YouA little over a half hour ago I was in a near accident. I almost plowed into a silver SUV returning to work from my lunch break. I am here to express the importance of driving responsibly to foster a safe driving experience, free of accidents. Compassion for others and caring for your own safety are two good reasons myself and the other driver went unharmed. I was left with feelings of anger as I sounded the harm and continued on to the office. Immediately passing the stopped vehicle I was thankful, that I was able to react appropriately. Where I know I was once an emotional driver there is now an aire of confidence. I can now model an awareness that reflects training and implementation. DefensiveDriving.com has become a beacon and shield in my day to day driving technique.
The course has become multifacted, affecting other aspects of my life. Originally, I was ordered by a Houston judge to take a driving safety course for ticket dismissal. The course prevented the infraction from going on my driving record. Many years later, now a working mother of three, I am often driving some place. I find myself avoiding accidents, and expecting possibilities like someone jumping the lane to make a fast exit. Today it was “him”, some unknown variable impacting my day. “Have a great day”, is what I say to customers each day. “Thank you”, for crossing my path and showing my growth. In driving some things are to be expected such as delay, horn honking, officers, tickets, and etc. DefensiveDriving.com has changed me. The course will change you. Give us a call. Go to the website. Leave us a note. Have an awesome drive today. I will.
