Daylight Savings Time
November 11, 2010 | in The Daily DriveThe last three days have been BRUTAL on the drive in and it finally occurred to me why… daylight savings time. As the sun is in a totally different position at 6:00 – it is up, more people on my commute are driving right into the sun… which leads to interesting driving conditions.
I have had two friendly waves this weeks as I have had individuals wander into my lane before I gave the old horn a push… twice. The research indicates it has less to do with the actual driving and the location of the sun, but with the lack of sleep? There is an interesting article below, in which they actually did a study related to Daylight Savings Time and the increase in fatal accidents, particularly on Monday.
