Driver who hit a pedestrian kept going..
July 30, 2011 | in Everyday DriverAnyone who is a driver can almost say they have experienced at least once having a problem with their vehicle.
From a dead battery, a light out or an engine problem. Early morning last month, at 12:30 AM a mana was driving his Ford Explorer on the freeway when it broke down. As it was late, after he pulled over, he attempted to walk to the other side of the freeway. He was hit by another vehicle. The collision forced the victim’s body through the windshield and he landed in the front passenger seat.
The driver of the the vehicle kept driving until he exited and a deputy pulled him over due to the noticeable damage to the car. He claimed he did not know the victim was in his passenger seat. Police believed the driver was under the influence and a mandatory blood test was taken. The incident is still under investigation.
Bottom line, if you ever are in a situation where you are stuck on the road, always lock your doors and stay in your car to await help. Anything can happen at anytime, always be safe!
