Give Us a Brake Construction Safety in Work Zones
March 7, 2012 | in Drive Like MEDrivers encounter construction zones any time of the day and night. While construction zones aren’t always clear, there are typically many warning such as orange signs, cones, and flashing lights. Driving in constructions zones can be rather dangerous to the workers and yourself, which is why the speed limit decreases in these areas. Rocks and other debris can easily be kicked up by the vehicles that are passing by, and could damage your car or worse, injure a worker. Speeding in a construction zone where workers are present results in double the fine. Unfortunately, you are not usually able to take a defense driving course to dismiss this type of citation. It is important to keep our workers safe and your driver record clean.Give us a brake: slow down in the construction zones!
