Here comes Peter Cotton Tail
April 7, 2012 | in My Kind of DrivingWatch out for Peter Cottontail and his entourage of Easter Egg hunters this weekend. Always drive more carefully near schools, playgrounds, and parks because children may suddenly dart into the street. Be prepared for children crossing the street. Drive with extreme caution around these areas. You must never drive faster than is safe for the prevailing conditions, regardless of the posted speed limit. High speed increases the distance you need to bring your vehicle to a complete stop. The faster you go, the less time you have to avoid a hazard or crash. The force of a 60 mph crash isn’t just twice as great as at 30 mph, it’s four times as great!
