Holiday Safety
December 18, 2011 | in Leave Early, Drive Slower, Live LongerDon’t Drink and Drive
We all know that drinking and driving is dangerous. Drivers who drink are encouraged to act responsibly by not driving when impaired. Have a designated driver, someone who doesn’t drink alcohol, with you to drive you home. Or research local corporations, cab companies and non-profits offering ride-home programs. These public offers are not meant to encourage drinking, but to encourage responsible behavior.
The holiday season not only represents family and bonding, it also presents an especially increased number of drunk drivers on the roadways. Law enforcement typically increases their presence during this peak season. They enforce stricter policies for law breakers. Christmas and New Year’s are times to celebrate, but should be done so responsibly.
