Is there any advertising going on?
June 22, 2010 | in The Daily DriveI was on the way to work today and there was a radio ad on ESPN Radio which featured Scott Van Pelt and was sponsored by AllState concerning distracted driving. It was a great ad in that it discussed how much distance you cover in a vehicle traveling 55 MPH in five seconds (about the length of a football field) and putting the phone down.
There are so many advertisements out there relating to discounts for Auto Insurance. There is the company we promote at DefensiveDriving.com, Geico and it’s messages, the gecko, the caveman and those strange eyes on money. There is the guy from AllState, we all know him as the President from the first season of 24. And finally there is the really annoying woman for Progressive, you know, what’s her name… (I know but do you? Interesting name for an individual you are going to base your entire marketing campaign on).
Here is an advertisement related to driver safety and it is really powerful. It was made in the UK but it truly imparts the need for wearing seat belts. Why do we not have more of this?
