It’s too hot to be on the side of the highway
July 12, 2010 | in The Daily DriveI could tell by the look on their face this morning, it was going to be a long day. Have you ever had your car break down on the side of the road in the summer? I have as a passenger and kid. The summer road trip with dad back east and it was on the George Washington bridge in NYC. Not a good spot to lose your engine. Too many miles, not enough fluid. The result was we had to go to a garage we were towed to and that was a very long day for dad with the three kids.
Proper vehicle maintenance is important all times of the year. If your vehicle breaks down, especially in a big city, it can be a very dangerous and difficult scenario. The gentlemen this morning with his hood up on the side of the road had a vehicle which was clearly overheated. Now he was in for a long morning and with steer and clear rules, but an expensive one at that. Add in the heat and humidity and I am sure it was not just his car that was hot.
