One Step Closer to Affordable Insurance
November 2, 2011 | in Driver Safety For You & Your FamilyAfter a recent insurance hike, I placed a call my insurer to find out why my insurance rate would be increasing. It had been a while since I received a citation and with a spotless driver record, I figured something had to be going on. The honest customer service representative looked over my policy and informed me that he did not see a direct action from the driver, myself, that would cause and rate increase. After a little research, the customer service representative informed me that the rate increase was not anything in particular that I had done, the insurance company had increased payouts in another area causing my insurance hike.
I inquired about potential discounts that I could receive for completing a state approved defensive driving course. To my alarm and dismay, my insurer did not offer discounts for auto insurance. At this point, I really needed a 10% discount for auto insurance!
As I set out to find affordable insurance, I found that there are many insurance companies that offer up to a 10% discount for completion of a defensive driving course.
I discovered the reason why drivers should have full coverage insurance on their vehicle: liability. Texas has insurance minimums and laws that regulate the amount of insurance drivers must carry. This information is detailed in the DefensiveDriving.com course.
The good thing about Texas is insurance discounts are available for all. All you have to do is verify your savings with your insurance agent. To get started with your savings, sign up at www.WheelsinMotion.com!
