One over looked driver safety tip is being proactive in cases of emergency. Often, we don’t think about what we need in an emergency situation until we’re in one. This is a pretty detailed list of some important things to keep our vehicles in case of an emergency:

Jack
Scissors/Sharp Cutting Device
Tool box with screwdrivers and wrenches
Car owner’s manual
Blanket
Small hammer
Flares

Sealant for small leaks in tires (this is a temporary fix)
Duct tape
Fire extinguisher
Empty gas can
Can of motor oil
Portable radio with spare batteries
Emergency phone numbers of family and friends
Insurance information
Car registration
Flash light with spare batteries
First aid kit with pre-moistened towelettes and sanitizer
