San Jacinto Career Quest 2010
October 18, 2010 | in Helping You Drive SafelyStop by the DefensiveDriving.com both at the Career Quest 2010 hosted by San Jacinto College (SJC) at the North campus on Wednesday, Oct. 20, and Thursday, Oct. 21. This event allows students and local residents to network with many Houston area employers.
The expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days in the Monument Room of the Slovacek Student Center, located at 5800 Uvalde Road in the North Channel area. The event is free and open to the public.
There will be drawings each day for valuable prizes, including iPods, clocks, memory sticks and clothing items, and companies will be giving away free promotional material. Cosmetology students will offer free manicures, and health screenings will be available.
The focus on Oct. 20 will be the field of health science. The focus of Oct. 21 will be technical industries. A wide variety of employment representatives from other fields will also be available on both days of the expo.
