How To Make An Emergency Lane Change Video

The “bump, bump, bump” technique involves only steering and doesn’t require any braking or acceleration whatsoever. This technique will move your vehicle one lane over, quickly and safely.

Start with your hands at the nine and three position on the steering wheel. When you want to make an emergency lane change, you turn your arms in the direction you want to go until your forearms touch. Then quickly turn all the way back in the opposite direction until your forearms touch again then quickly bring them back so that they are straight. This series of movements needs to be done as quickly as possible.
