Texas Looking to Improve Traffic Stop Education

Texas officials are trying to pass new legislation that would affect drivers education throughout the state–pushing for classes that teach young drivers how to act when they are pulled over by police.

According to News Channel 10, “Currently, the Texas Driver’s Handbook instructs students on what to do with their vehicle when they are pulled over. However, there is very little information regarding the driver’s behavior.”

Other states have enacted similar legislation that helps young drivers become more educated at traffic stops before they experience it on the road. That way both the driver and police will be more safe in these future situations.
